Public opinion in wartime Ukraine – interview with Olexiy Haran
Throughout the third year of the full-scale Russia-Ukraine war, it is not easy for Ukrainians to keep their morale high. Aiming to understand the popular mood, the University of Tartu Ukraine Centre conducted an interview with Oleksiy Haran, Professor of Comparative Political Science at the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, Research Advisor at the Democratic Initiatives Foundation. The podcast discusses the difficulties and hopes of Ukrainians, analyzes the issues of trust and unity, geopolitical orientations towards the European Union and NATO, readiness for negotiations and peace agreements, as well as pessimism and optimism of Ukrainians, as revealed by opinion polls.
