The impact of semi-presidentialism on democratic consolidation: cases of Poland and Ukraine

 


The paper was written in the framework of the Ilko Kucheriv Democracy Fellowship Programme carried out by PASOS (Policy Association for and Open Society) in conjunction with the Ilko Kucheriv Democratic Initiatives Foundation (DIF, Ukraine) and the Institute of Public Affairs (ISP, Poland) with the financial support from the National Endowment for Democracy (NED). The author was hosted by ISP for the five-week period during February-March 2012 and was mentored by IPA director Jacek Kucharczyk.
