Soldiers of fortune vs soldiers of freedom

Shortly after the expanded Russian invasion of Ukraine on 24 February 2022, President Zelensky created the International Legion for the Territorial Defence of Ukraine, and began calling for (foreign) volunteers to join. These volunteers are fighting for the freedom of Ukraine. On the Russian side, on the other hand, multitudes of mercenaries are appearing - recently even from Afghanistan. These fight on the side of the Kremlin for money.
