Seminar at the Norwegian Defence Research Establishment

Olexiy Haran, Research Director of the Democratic Initiatives Foundation, participated in the seminar “The Future of Russian-Ukrainian Relations” held in Oslo on September 11, 2018.

The seminar was organized by Forsvarets Forskningsinstitutt (FFI) (Norwegian Defence Research Establishment). Dr. Haran presented results of the polls regarding potential compromises in the Donbas.

He stressed that according to DIF’s polls most Ukrainians reject provisions of the political part of Minsk agreements. At the same time, the window of opportunities exist.

The majority of respondents believe that the UN Transitional Administration in the non-government controlled areas is the most effective problem solution.
