Petro Poroshenko’s Block and Oleh Liashko’s Radical Party are leading the electoral race. “People’s Front” and “Self-Help” also enter parliament

These are the results of public opinion poll conducted by Ilko Kucheriv Democratic Initiatives Foundation and Kyiv International Institute of Sociology during October 9-18, 2014. Meanwhile, 32% of those respondents who expressed their willingness to vote haven’t yet decided whom to vote for.

Currently, 4 parties are crossing electoral threshold:

Petro Poroshenko’s Block – 20.5%.

Oleh Liashko’s Radical Party – 8.6%.

Political Party “People’s Front” – 6.8%.

Union “Self-Help” – 5.8%.

All-Ukrainian Union “Motherland” also came close to 5-% threshold, having gained 4.7%.

At the same time, it is obvious that 32% of undecided voters is a great potential for these and other parties. I.e., if only those who had already decided voted, 7 parties would enter Verkhovna Rada:

Petro Poroshenko’s Block – 30.4%.

Oleh Liashko’s Radical Party – 12.9%.

Political Party “People’s Front” – 10.8%.

Union “Self-Help” – 8.5%.

All-Ukrainian Union “Motherland” – 7.5%.

Serhiy Tihipko’s Party “Strong Ukraine” – 5.6%.

Party “Opposition Block” – 5.9%.

Anatoliy Hrytsenko’s Civic Position and Communist Party of Ukraine in such hypothetical scenario would also have chances of entering parliament, having 4.8% and 4.1% respectively.

However, 32% of undecided voters could cast their votes differently.

Public opinion poll was conducted in 110 settlements in all regions of Ukraine, except Crimea. Also, during the period of polling work, there was no possibility to conduct it in Luhansk; thus, the quota of Donetsk was enlarged. Totally, 2025 respondents were interviewed. The statistical error does not exceed 2.2%.
