Invitation to participate in the workshop "Visibility and Impact: How CSOs Can Effectively Communicate Research Findings and Reach Target Audiences"

Ilko Kucheriv Democratic Initiatives Foundation and the Institute for European Politics (IEP) invite representatives of Ukrainian civil society organizations to participate in a workshop on strengthening the communication capacities of Ukrainian CSOs.

The workshop is part of the UA Transformation Lab project, which is a joint project of IEP, Cedos, Ilko Kucheriv Democratic Initiatives Foundation, and the New Europe Center. The project is supported by the German Federal Foreign Office.

The project aims to strengthen Ukrainian think tanks and civil society organizations, deepen their cooperation with local authorities, and provide them with the necessary tools to effectively contribute to the recovery and European integration processes.

The workshop will take place over two days on December 21-22, 2023 in Kyiv (the exact location will be announced later). Participants from other regions will be provided with accommodation and travel reimbursement.

During the workshop, participants will learn

What are the key components of a CSO's communication strategy? How to identify target audiences and effectively use social media to reach them?
How to use media analysis tools to assess the effectiveness of communications and as a research method?
How to effectively use data visualization as a research tool and a tool for communicating its resultsWhat is stakeholder analysis and why is it important for effective advocacy?

Working language: Ukrainian. Applications are accepted until December 13, 2023 inclusive.

When filling out the Google form, please tell us about your experience of working in a CSO, your organization's successful/negative experience in advocacy, your expectations from the workshop, and your ideas on how to apply the knowledge gained in your organization's work.

Please note that the number of participants is limited. The organizers of the workshop will provide you with feedback on your application.
